General Show
Information & Class Descriptions
Short
Stirrup Division is
for Riders 6-10 years of age (as of Jan 1st)
and may not cross-enter into Junior classes.
Juniors are riders 17 and younger. Adults are
18 and over.
Ride times for Classes
25 & 26 will be on a “first come-first served” basis and will be held in
Ring 2 from
Hunter in Hand: Horse is judged
on conformation/hunter suitability. Halter or Bridle is acceptable. Led by rider on ground.
Equitation:
Four divisions (Advanced, Intermediate, Beginner, Short Stirrup). Walk/Trot/Canter in both directions
Hunter On The Flat: Three divisions (Adult, Junior,
Short Stirrup) Walk/Trot/Canter in both directions
Trot Poles: Three divisions (Adult, Junior, Short
Stirrup) A course of ground poles to be trotted.
Riders in this class
may not enter any other jumping classes.
Walk/Trot: Two separate divisions (Equitation
& Hunter on the Flat) For those not yet able to
canter in a group class. Riders in this
class may not enter into any other classes except Trot Poles & Introductory
Dressage
Equitation Over
Fences: Three
divisions (Adult, Junior, Short Stirrup) Course of 4
cross rails.
Hunter Over Fences: Three divisions (Adult, Junior,
Short Stirrup) Course of 4 fences ranging in height from 18” to 2’
Hunter Hack: Three
divisions (Adult, Junior, Short Stirrup) Walk/Trot/Canter both directions as a
group.
2 fences (cross rails or verticals) taken individually
Dressage Equitation: Group class. Walk/Trot/Canter
Work without stirrups, 20m circles, and/or SittingTrot may be asked at
judges’ discretion
Dressage Suitability: Walk/Trot/Canter Judging suitability of horse in the
Dressage Arena
