Year End Awards

Champion and Reserve Champion awards will be presented in the following divisions:

Beginner Equitation
Qualifying Classes: 10 and 22
Intermediate Equitation
Qualifying Classes: 5 and 21
Advanced Equitation
Qualifying Classes: 2 and 20
Junior Hunter
Qualifying Classes: 3-18-24
Adult Hunter
Qualifying Classes: 12-19-25
Green Hunter
Qualifying Classes: 13 and 26
Beginner Hunter
Qualifying Classes: 11 and 13
Walk/Trot
Qualifying Classes: 29 and 30
Short Stirrups
Qualifying Classes: 8-9-15-17-27-28
Introductory Level Dressage
Qualifying Classes:31-32-33-34
Training Level Dressage
Qualifying Classes: 35-36-37
Test of Choice (1st level & above)
Qualifying Class: 38
Medal Class High & Low

Point System:

Points are accumulated towards Year End Awards as follows:

1st place = 10pts
2nd place = 8pts
3rd place = 6pts
4th place = 4pts
5th place = 2pts
6th place = 1pts

In order to qualify for Year End Awards, the rider must participate in 3 of the 4 HJDA shows. Competitors must be entered in the final show to receive year end awards. No prizes will be mailed.

RULE CHANGE for 2011: Riders do NOT need to ride the same horse in order to qualify for year end awards. Points will follow the rider, no matter what horse they ride in a show or throughout the season. Riders will still need to enter 3 of the 4 shows to qualify, but will not need to have the same horse during the season.
