2010 Show Dates are now posted!
Hello and Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all had a great holiday season. While it may be cold outside, it's never too early to start looking forward to summer and horse shows.
Especially as this year marks Justamere's 25th Anniversary. Congratulations Twila, that's quite an accomplishment!
We've made several changes to the upcoming season, starting with the dates themselves. The Spring Fun show has been moved up a couple weeks to May 2nd. In this way, we can begin the HJDA series of shows earlier, allowing for our big year end show to be held in August rather than September.
September is always such a busy month with school starting and all the activities that go along with it. We also have many riders who compete in their high school equestrian team meets that month. And the weather is always such a gamble then. I think this will be a welcome change for all riders and their families for whom September is just busy busy busy.
Another big change is our Medal Class. We had a great time with this class last year, which was geared to the advanced rider. This season we plan to offer the Medal class to the beginner/intermediate rider. It will be run the same but a course of 6 fences will now consist of low verticals (18") and cross-rails instead of the larger jumps.
Introductory Level Dressage has been added as a Year-End division. Now Intro level riders can compete for Year End Championships and year end awards.
Another change is all of the Hunter Hack classes will now count towards year end award points. For example, if you enter the Adult Hunter Hack class, your placing will now count towards your points in the Adult Hunter division.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again at upcoming show season (and to some warm weather!)
